Chin-Soon Phan, PhD, Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, Latvia
Chin-Soon Phan was PhD trained in marine natural products chemistry at Malaysia. He was then exposed to natural products biosynthesis as visiting fellow at the University of Western Australia (Yit-Heng Chooi), as JSPS postdoctoral fellow at the Hokkaido University (Tatsufumi Okino and Toshiyuki Wakimoto), and as postdoc fellow at the National University of Singapore (Brandon I. Morinaka). He started his independent research group at the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis since Dec 2023.
Jie Dou, PhD, Eurofins, United States of America
Jie obtained her bachelor's degree in Macromolecular Materials and Engineering from a university in China, followed by earning her PhD in Chemistry at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Her research at NJIT includes synthetic polymers for drug delivery and gene delivery applications. Since December 2023, Jie has been employed as a staff scientist at Eurofins, where she works under GLP regulatory guidelines. Her work encompassed a range of projects including research, development, and sample analysis for studies related to Aquatic, Avian, Pollinator, and Algae.
Partha Sarathi Tripathy, MSc, Nord University, Norway
Partha Sarathi Tripathy is a distinguished Fisheries Professional specializing in Fish Molecular Taxonomy, Genetics, and Biotechnology. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Aquatic Biosciences at Nord University, Norway. He holds a Master of Fisheries Science in Fish Genetics and Breeding from Central Agricultural University, Tripura, India, and a Bachelor of Fisheries Science from OUAT, Odisha, India. Partha's expertise includes molecular taxonomy, molecular biology, bioinformatics and a wide array of laboratory techniques. He has identified key genes responsible for color variation in ornamental fish and analyzed their expression following dietary interventions. His significant contributions to fisheries science are evident in his numerous publications in international journals and book chapters on biotechnology in biodiversity conservation and molecular markers in aquaculture. Partha has received several prestigious awards and scholarships, including a PhD fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Norway. His global exposure includes visiting aquaculture farms in Austria, enhancing his expertise in fish farming techniques. In his current role as a Assistant Professor at College of Fisheries, Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, UP, India, Partha organizes training programs for fish farmers, establishes laboratories, and designs course curriculum and research projects for students. He has also organized and conducted several training sessions on molecular biology techniques, benefiting students and professionals in the field.
