Giuseppina Campisi, DDS, MD, University of Palermo, Italy
Dr Giuseppina Campisi is a Distinguished Professor in Oral Medicine at the University of Palermo, where she also heads the Unit of Oral Medicine at the University Hospital. Since 2005, she has been a leading figure in oral medicine, with prior roles as a researcher and assistant professor at the same institution. Dr Campisi has received numerous accolades, including the Robert Frank Award and multiple honors at national dental congresses. Her research focuses on oral cancer, precancerous lesions, and HPV infection, and she has played a pivotal role in the European “Intellidrug” project.
Deepak Gupta, BDS, MDS, FICCDE, M.M. College of Dental Sciences and Research, India
Dr Deepak Gupta received his BDS degree from Sardar Patel Post Graduate Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences and Research in 2007. After graduation, he was awarded a Fellowship to the International College of Continuing Dental Education in Singapore. Then, he completed his postgraduate in Oral Medicine and Maxillofacial Radiology from M.M. College of Dental Sciences and Research in India. He has more than 60 national and international research publications to his credit.
At present, he is an Associate Editor of Contemporary Clinical Dentistry. He serves on the editorial boards and scientific review committees of various international dental journals and professional committees with a particular interest in oral medicine and maxillofacial radiology. Additionally, he served as Lead Guest Editor and published several peer-reviewed special thematic issues in collaboration with The Open Dentistry Journal. On the national and international levels, Dr Gupta has conducted conferences in his specialty, spoken as a guest speaker, and chaired scientific sessions. Presently, he serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at the M.M. College of Dental Sciences and Research, where he teaches both graduate as well as postgraduate students. His research interests include oral and maxillofacial radiology, TMJ disorders, psychosomatic disorders, orofacial pain, oral cancer diagnosis, and oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
Yumiko Kawashita, PhD, DDS, Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Japan
Dr Yumiko Kawashita’s expertise lies in oral health. She has been providing supportive care for patients receiving radiotherapy for head and neck cancer for more than 12 years. She aims to prevent osteoradionecrosis and support patients in completing radiotherapy treatments. With the introduction of IMRT, the number of patients experiencing xerostomia has decreased. Patients who receive radiotherapy for head and neck cancer still require lifelong oral management to prevent root caries. Dr Kawashita emphasizes the importance of providing continuous supportive care for these patients.
Kumar Chandan Srivastava, BDS, MDS, PhD, MBA, Jouf University, Saudi Arabia
Dr Kumar Chandan Srivastava is a highly accomplished academician and researcher specializing in oral medicine and maxillofacial radiology. He possesses a PhD and membership from prestigious organizations including the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians (RCSP) – Ireland, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. His other educational accomplishments include a master's degree in public health, an MBA, and a graduate diploma in Clinical Research and Biostatistics. He has more than 15 years of experience.
Dr Srivastava is a dynamic researcher with a publication record of more than 115 research papers in high-impact journals, nine patents, several funded research projects, and numerous editorial assignments in SCIE-indexed journals. He has been recognized as the best researcher at the university level for three consecutive years and achieved global recognition in 2023 and 2024 by being listed in the prestigious AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index). He currently serves as an Associate Professor and deputy program director in the College of Dentistry at Jouf University.
