Feed Safety Risk Assessment and Related Detection Technology

Feed safety is closely related to animal-origin food safety and environmental safety. The hazard factors in feed, i.e., mycotoxins, pesticides, and heavy metals, may endanger animal health. They can be enriched in animal products and pose potential hazards to human health. And the abuse of antimicrobial agents in animal feed may lead to bacterial resistance and intestinal flora disorder in animals and humans. Besides, most hazard factors in feed will be excreted with animal feces and urine, causing soil and water pollution and affecting environmental safety. This special issue focuses on the recent progress in feed safety risk assessment and related detection technology.
